Milcev Burbea Managing Partners Iulia Burbea and Gabriela Milcev, together with Florina Enache, Senior Associate, took part in a recent seminar on timely topics related to Intellectual Property organised by CNCPIR.
“It was a great pleasure and joy to participate, alongside my colleagues Gabriela Milcev and Florina Enache, in the seminar organised by CNCPIR on the topic of Counterfeiting and Piracy in the field of Intellectual Property. We listened to extremely interesting lectures from fellow lawyers, advisors, and judges, followed by open debates that were useful and necessary for the professional environment. I presented an analysis of the standards of requirement in assessing the distinctiveness of trademarks, as derived from recent jurisprudence of European courts,” Iulia Burbea, Managing Partner, said.
“The conclusions drawn from the analysis of decisions issued by the General Court in the past year confirm the ongoing evolution that jurisprudence imparts to the notion of distinctiveness and the increasing rigour in interpreting the criteria for its determination,” Iulia added.
